Heritage Day: Mary Lowe\"Mary<\/h3>\n

Martin Luther on the Body, Our Bodies, and the Body of Creation<\/em><\/p>\n

As part of the Reformation series, Mary Lowe, associate\u00a0professor of Religion at Â鶹Çø, will give an evening lecture followed by discussion and a reception.<\/p>\n

Martin Luther wrote, \u201cThere are three elements in a human, the body, the soul, and the spirit.\u201d Many of today\u2019s complex issues involve our bodies and the body of creation: climate change, gender and sexuality, abuse, and deforestation, etc. In Â鶹Çø\u2019s 2017 Heritage Lecture, Prof. Lowe will introduce Luther\u2019s perspectives on bodies and creation and examine how\u2014even today\u2014his theology can help us better understand and address these embodied challenges.<\/p>\n
