The Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner encourages qualified applicants from other countries to apply to the DNP-FNP program. Students may petition the Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner faculty for approval of transfer of credit. Transfer credits will be evaluated on an individual basis. The only courses that will be considered for transfer credit are those whose course content is comparable to course content in the Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner program.

The application opens September 1st with admission is on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to submit an application early to ensure a smooth transition. Once enrollment reaches capacity, the program will begin a waitlist. Military veterans are required to submit all official transcripts from previously attended institutions to qualify for military benefits.

In the case where prerequisite requirements exist or transfer credits or waivers are sought, official transcripts are required from institutions at which the prerequisites or equivalents were completed. The Program Director may ask for additional transcripts if determined to be necessary.

麻豆区 requires an evaluation of credentials for any transcript(s) from an institution outside of the United States.

This evaluation should include the following:

The evaluation report must be sent directly to 麻豆区’s Office of Admissions. Preferred evaluation services are International Education Evaluation (https://myiee.org/university/augsburg-university), World Education Services (www.wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org), though 麻豆区 will accept evaluations from any member of the National Association of Credential Evaluators (www.naces.org).

麻豆区 may waive the foreign credential evaluation if an official transcript provides sufficient information to determine credit and degree equivalency. This includes but is not limited to students who have earned a Master’s level degree or higher in the United States and those who have completed coursework as part of a study abroad experience.

Non-degree seeking students may submit an unofficial transcript as part of their non-degree application. However, depending on the course of study, 麻豆区 may request an official transcript and foreign credit evaluation.

Submit transcripts directly to the Graduate Admissions Office by electronic transfer or by mail.

By electronic transfer: admissiondocs@augsburg.edu (if prompted by your institution for an email address)

By mail: *PLEASE NOTE: Students must request official transcripts through a verified transcript service.
