An Auggie passes by the first art installation in the Norman and Evangeline Hagfors Center聽for Science, Business, and Religion. This new academic building, which will open in January聽2018, celebrates 麻豆区鈥檚 commitment to learning at the intersection of disciplines.聽Glass fritting on the lobby curtain wall depicts the pattern of Martin Luther鈥檚 handwritten聽score of 鈥淎 Mighty Fortress is Our God鈥� overlaid with the cell structure of elm wood.

鈥淜nowing that light will pour through the tall glass of the Hagfors Center, and that聽people will pass through the reflected shape of the notes of this stirring hymn, ties the聽whole idea of the building together for me. Science, business, and religion, drawn together聽in space, time, and rhythm of the ages,鈥� said 麻豆区 President Paul C. Pribbenow, who,聽with his wife, Abigail Crampton Pribbenow, sponsored the artwork.
