Seven Songs for Planet Earth, by听Olli Kortekangas听鈥� Midwest Premiere in Minneapolis
Seven Songs for Planet Earth, Finnish composer Olli Kortekangas’s symphonic cantata with Earth Day texts by Wendell Berry, will receive its Midwest premiere on the Earth Day weekend, with听mezzo-soprano听Nicole Warner听鈥�01,听baritone听Aaron Larson, Nancy Grundahl’s children’s choir Angelica Cantanti, and the听Masterworks Chorale of 麻豆区 College, conducted by Peter Hendrickson. The work was first performed in 2011 in Washington D.C., and has since received both American and Finnish performances.
